🌙 Part 1: The Cross (The Core Situation)

The first 6 cards represent the “what” and the “why” of your current experience.

Position Title What it tells you…
1 The Present The “atmosphere” of the moment. Your current state of mind.
2 The Challenge (Laid across Card 1) The immediate obstacle or the friction you are feeling.
3 The Goal (Above) Your conscious desires, your “best-case scenario,” or your focus.
4 The Foundation (Below) The deep past, childhood influences, or the subconscious “root” of the issue.
5 Recent Past (Left) Events that are ending or just finished that still affect your current vibe.
6 Near Future (Right) The next logical step. What will happen in the coming days or weeks.

 

Part 2: The Staff (The External & Internal Path)

The final 4 cards represent “how” the energy will unfold and the outside influences.

Position Title What it tells you…
7 The Self How you see yourself in this situation. Your internal power (or lack thereof).
8 Environment Outside influences. How family, friends, or coworkers are affecting you.
9 Hopes/Fears Your psychological state. What you secretly want—or what you’re afraid to lose.
10 The Outcome The “destination” if you stay on the current path. The final result.

 

Quick Interpretation “Pro-Tips”

  • Look for Major Arcana: If 4 or more cards are Major Arcana (like The Fool, The Sun, The Devil), this situation is a fated life lesson, not just a daily blip.

  • Check the Balance:

    • Mostly Cups? The situation is purely emotional.

    • Mostly Swords? It’s all about communication or conflict.

    • Mostly Wands? It’s about action and career.

    • Mostly Pentacles? It’s about money or health.

  • The Bridge: Look at Card 6 (Near Future) and Card 10 (Outcome). Card 6 tells you the choice you have to make to get to (or change) the result in Card 10.

  • Subconscious Link: If Card 4 (Foundation) and Card 9 (Hopes/Fears) are similar, your past is heavily influencing your current anxiety.


Bonus Tip: If you finish the spread and the Outcome (Card 10) is confusing, draw one more “Clarifier Card” and place it next to Card 10 for more detail!
